AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Hit at a career-best .339 clip in his junior year... recorded three multi-hit games... first collegiate homerun came on February 18 against Regis.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Started 18 games in his sophomore season... four of his 13 hits were doubles... recorded nine RBI... led the 2006 team with pinch-hits, going 5-for-10.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: hit .296 with 10 starts in his first season at UCSD... had a season-high four-game hitting streak and hit .778 (7-for-9) during that span... had a career-high three hits and four RBI against San Francisco State on Feb. 27... hit 7-for-21 with runners in scoring position... commited zero errors in 121 chances.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended De La Salle HS in Concord, Calif. where he was a member of the baseball team... in 2004 the team went 26-6 and lost in the North Coast Section finals... awards included the Student Sports Magazine Top-20 players to watch in Northern California in 2004, all-league and All-Contra Costa Times in 2003 and 2004... other school honors included the highest Honor Roll for four years... member of the nationally ranked NorCal Baseball Club for four seasons and won the Connie Mack State Championship in 2004.

PERSONAL: Born September 15, 1986 in Anaheim Hills, Calif.... parents are Richard and Patricia Hom... has a younger brother, Nick... a Communications major and History minor in Roosevelt College.
