AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Had 19 multi-hit games, including five three-hit games... also had nine multi-RBI games... hit .448 with runners in scoring position... went 3-for-5 against Nebraska-Kearney at the NCAA West Regional... hit first collegiate homerun in a win at Cal Poly Pomona... had four outfield assists.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Started 28 games and hit .333 in 102 at-bats... recorded two, four-hit games, including a 4-for-5 performance against CCAA foe Cal State San Bernardino... made 37 putouts without an error... also saw action on the mound, making three appearances... recoreded a 3.86 ERA, allowing one run in 2.1 innings pitched, striking out two batters.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Recorded nine multi-hit games in his first season... drove in two RBI in his first career game... stole seven bases in eight attempts... eight of his 41 hits went for extra-bases... hit .328 in games played at Triton Baseball Field.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Santa Clara HS where he was a member of the baseball team... team was a CCS finalist and Co-League Champion in Division I... played on the Bay Area Athletics club team that won the 2003 USABF World Series... named to the all-league team for his performances.

PERSONAL: Born November 12, 1986... parents are Phil and Diane Mort... parents attended Purdue and Stanford, respectively... has two siblings named Christopher and Allison... his uncle and cousin have played collegiate basketball... is a Mathematics major in Muir College... hobbies include golf and music.
