Mission Statement: The UCSD Athletic Board will provide and assist in soliciting major capital gifts for athletics, while evaluating the strategic planning of the Athletic Department in relevant areas. This group will secure support for major Athletic Department initiatives as UCSD continues to set the standard as the finest Division II athletic program in the nation.

Our objectives:

• Help UCSD Athletics achieve its special role in the San Diego Region.
• Establish a group of committed “donor advocates” for UCSD Athletics.
• Provide major giving to UCSD Athletics on an ongoing basis.
• Focus on special projects.
• Provide advice and counsel to UCSD Athletics.
• Maintain an environment of excellence in academics and athletics.
• Help UCSD Athletics position itself organizationally and financially for future campus, conference, and divisional changes.

We hold one formal meeting annually, and host several athletic events throughout the year, such as:

• Water Polo Game and Reception
• Spirit Night Reception and Courtside Seats Advantage
• Annual Board Meeting
• Baseball Barbeque
• Athletic Department Annual Recognition Banquet
