A four-year starting shortstop, Chaiken’s Tritons were ranked in the top 20 every season and visited the post-season three times. She was a career .347 hitter and her name is still prominent in the UCSD record books.

After getting a Masters in Sports Management from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1992, Chaiken worked as Director of Marketing for family-owned Davidon Homes in Northern California for seven years. She’s currently involved in three business ventures—Roll & Chaiken Enterprises, a marketing and consulting firm, Carlsbad Golf Center and Global Aqua Science, a lawn and garden products company.

She lives in Del Mar with her partner Susan Roll and two dogs. An outdoor enthusiast, Chaiken enjoys golf, hiking, swimming, skiing and travel (she’s visited approximately 60 countries). Earlier this year, through her family’s foundation, she made a $250,000 matching gift donation for the enhancement of the UCSD softball complex. It was the UCSD Athletic Department’s largest-ever contribution from an alumni athlete.
