A defensive specialist and team leader for Triton men’s volleyball clubs from 1996 to 1998, Cook-Fisher was part of a ’97 club that defeated nationally-ranked USC and Long Beach State back-to-back at RIMAC Arena.

 

Following graduation from UCSD, the Huntington Beach, CA native attended UCSD’s archaeological field in Jordan where he met his future wife, Michelle, a native of Scotland. The two were married at Dun Donald Castle in the fall of 2000 and lived in Scotland for two years as Cook-Fisher earned his MS in Resource Management from the University of Edinburgh.

 

The couple moved to California in the fall of 2002 and now live in BigBearLake where Cook-Fisher works for the U.S. Forest Service, currently involved with projects varying from archaeological surveys to recreation management to fire suppression rehab. His unit was heavily engaged during the Grand Prix and Old Fires that engulfed the San BernardinoNational Forest in late summer 2003.
