ERIK JUDSON

Baseball

1991 - Marshall - Economics

A starter for the Triton baseball team from 1988-90 and a professional baseball player in the Philadelphia Phillies organization (1990-92), Judson has made a career of his passion and is currently the Vice President of Ballpark Development for the San Diego Padres, a central figure in the local club’s scheduled transition to Petco Park next spring.

He earned his MBA from San Diego State in 1996 and later that year was the first person hired by the Padres dedicated completely to the new Ballpark project. The Idyllwild native has been involved at some level in every facet of the $450 million undertaking, from design, planning and construction to the securing of political support and the successful campaign to gain public approval.

A consistent supporter of the sports program at UCSD, Judson is a member of the Triton Athletic Associates Board of Directors as well as the UCSD Athletic Board. He was recently married to Erin Kroll and lives in Kensington.
