AS A JUNIOR IN 2008-09: Was one of three Tritons to start all 28 games last season… Led the team in scoring, averaging 13.9 points per game… That figure ranked seventh in the CCAA… Was third on the team shooting 36.4% from behind the three-point arc… Also averaged 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per night… Was named to the All-CCAA Second Team, taking home all-conference accolades for the first time in his career… Scored in double figures 20 times during the season… Led the team in scoring 11 times… Poured in a career-high 31 points in UCSD’s 78-70 loss to Central Washington, finishing 9-for-17 from the field and 4-of-6 on threes… That total was the most points scored by a Triton in 2008-09… Finished with a team-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting against Sonoma State on December 6… His nine field goals made set a new career mark… Hit 4-of-7 three-point attempts against the Seawolves… Reached the 20-point mark on four other occasions during the season, including a 24-point effort in UCSD’s 76-72 loss to Cal State San Bernardino in the CCAA Tournament Semifinals… Hit a career-high five threes in that contest… Finished with 23 points and five rebounds in the Tritons’ 66-59 win at San Francisco State on January 17… Hit a 50-foot three-pointer with one second remaining in regulation to deliver a 60-57 victory at Sonoma State on January 30… Finished with 13 points and a season-high eight boards at Chico State on February 26… Averaged 16 points over UCSD’s final six games of the season… Led the team with 111 made free-throws on the year.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007-08: Appeared in all 30 contests for the Tritons, starting all but one… Quickly developed into one of UCSD’s primary offensive weapons, averaging 11.4 points per game, which ranked second on the team… Also averaged a team-high 8.3 field goal attempts per night… Was second among Triton three-point shooters, hitting 42 of his 96 attempts, 43.8%… Scored 10 or more points 18 times during the season, including five of UCSD’s last seven games… Had four performances of 20 or more with the last coming in the Tritons’ NCAA West Regional matchup at Alaska Anchorage March 14… Finished 8-of-13 from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 at the free-throw line for a career-high 24 points, doing his best to keep UCSD in the game… Scored 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting to lead the Tritons to a 58-54 win at Sonoma State January 4… Recorded his first career double-double eight days later, tallying 20 points and 10 rebounds in the overtime loss at Cal State L.A. on January 12… Scored 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting in his only appearance off the bench, November 17 against San Diego State… Dished out a career-high five assists in the home win over Cal Poly Pomona on January 18.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07: Played in all 27 of UCSD’s games during the year... Came off the bench and scored 18 points in 33 minutes of play during his collegiate debut at San Diego State on November 15... Scored 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting to go along with four rebounds and an assist in the 76-72 win over Cal State Stanislaus on December 2... Scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds in the 90-76 loss at Humboldt State on January 4... Poured in a team-high 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting in the 69-63 home victory over No. 12 Cal State San Bernardino on January 19... Scored a then-career-high 21 points and grabbed six rebounds at Cal State Stanislaus on February 2... Finished with ten points and dished out four assists in UCSD’s 69-54 win at Chico State... Scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out two assists in the Triton’s season finale against San Francisco State.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Tokay High School in Lodi, Calif., where he lettered in basketball, baseball, and soccer... Helped the basketball team to a 25-9 record and a spot in the CIF Nor-Cal Finals... That squad was the SJAA Section Champs... Averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 steals, 1.5 blocks, 3.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game... Posted a career-high of 44 points in a game... Hit .350 with one home run on the baseball diamond, while averaging 8.0 saves per game on the soccer field... Had a goals-against average of less than one between the pipes for THS.
PERSONAL: Born September 16, 1987... Parents are Rod and Penny Lawley... Has two younger brothers named Bryce and Mason... Roots for the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Yankees, and Real Madrid… Allen Iverson is his favorite athlete… Lists hitting the half court shot at Sonoma State to win the game last year as his most memorable sports moment… Enjoys watching movies, playing any and all sports, riding bikes, fine dining, and spending time with family in his spare time… Is an Economics major in Marshall College... Wants to pursue a career as a sports agent or work for a professional sports franchise after graduation.
