AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Recorded at least 20 kills on three different occassions... season-high 24 kills against Pepperdine on March 7... served up five aces against Cal Baptist on January 13... hit at a .255 clip for the season... season high five blocks against Long Beach State on April 17... recorded 303 kills in his junior year.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Sent down 489 kills, the third-highest single-season mark in school history... 840 career kills through two years ranks seventh all-time in school history... career-high 30 kills in a single-match against UCLA on March 28... named National Player of the Week after leading the Tritons to wins over UCLA and UCI... earned All-MPSF honors.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Recorded 351 kills, including a season-high 26 against Long Beach State... the 351 kills is the 13th best single-season mark in school history... recoreded at least 10 kills in 18 matches.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Thousand Oaks HS where the volleball team recorded a season best 35-5 record and finished as high as fifth in the CIF... owns a 38 inch vertical leap... participated on several club teams including the Warren Six Pak, Spectrum 17-1s and Santa Monica Beach Club.

PERSONAL: Born September 26, 1987... parents are Richard and Linda Spangler... has two siblings named Robbie and Michelle... is a Computer Science and Engineering major in Marshall College.
