AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Finished third in both the both discus event, with a distance of 133’, and hammer throw, with a toss of 164’7”, at the CCAA Championships… Recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the hammer throw at the Triton Invitational with a UCSD top-ten all-time mark of 180’11, finishing 17th in the event… Finished 11th in the shot put and 14th in the hammer throw at the Cal/Nevada Championships.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Placed third in the Hammer Throw at the CCAA Championship with a distance of 50.88M... At the UCSD Triton Invitational placed 27th in the Shot Put with a distance of 14.40M, and 20th in the Hammer Throw at 46.56M... Placed second in the Shot Put and third in the Discus Throw at the San Diego City Championships... At the All-Cal Cup Challenge finished third in the Hammer Throw and eighth in the Shot Put... Placed 16th in the Shot Put at the Cal-Nevada Championships with a distance of 14.36M.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Finished seventh in the shot put and fifth in the hammer throw at the All-Cal Championships...  Won the hammer throw event at the San Diego City Championships with a toss of 160’4”... Finished fourth in the hammer throw during the UCSD Divisional Challenge... Season-best mark of 161’9” in the hammer throw came during the UCLA Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersey Invitational and ranked 10th in UCSD history... Placed fifth in the shot put event during the CCAA Championships with throw of 40’7”, while finishing third in the hammer throw at 156’2”.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson, South Carolina... Statistical bests of 53’10” in the shot put and 160’01” in the discus ... Part of 2006 Region 1-AAAA Champion team.

PERSONAL: Born March 26, 1988... Father is Rick Cook... Is an Electrical Engineering major at Revelle College... Enjoys playing chess in his spare time.
