AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006-07: Appeared in eight of the team's 10 tournaments during his second year on the La Jolla campus... owned a 76.3 scoring average, the third best number of the squad... was tied for second on the team in rounds played, competing in 24 rounds on the year... was tied for the lowest round on the team in '06-07, carding a 4-under par, 68, on two separate occasions... best individual finish was a 1-under par total of 213 at the NCAA D-II Northwest/West Super Regional, finishing in a tie for 9th place after rounds of 73, 71 and 68... also finished 9th at the CSU San Marcos Invitational with his three-round total of 10-over par, 226, that included a final round 71... finished in the top-15 at four different tournaments.


AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005-06: Played in two tournaments as a rookie... carded rounds of 77, 80 and 76 to finish in a tie for 42nd place at the Cal State San Marcos Invitational... also finished with a 28-over par total of 244 at the Buzzini Invitational hosted by Cal State Stanislaus.


HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Rancho Bernardo HS where he was a member of the golf team which advanced to the San Diego CIF for three seasons and placed in the top three of the Palomar league in each season... competed in several junior competitions including the AJGA, IJFT, FCWT, Junior World, Jr. Tour and the Western Junior... posted a National vicotry at Penn State in a junior event, shooting rounds of 69-70-70... career best round is 65.


PERSONAL: Born June 1, 1987... has two siblings named Ryan and Nicole... parents are James and Joanne Phan... lists hobbies as skateboarding, surfing, basketball, football, tennis and soccer... is an Economics major at Warren College.
