MATT SEEFELD
Track & Field
1999 – Muir – History (Minor in Chemistry & Economics)

A three-time NCAA Division III All-American, Matt Seefeld was one of UCSD’s 1998 Athletes of the Year and still owns all-time top four marks in the shot put, discus and hammer.

After graduating in 1999, he went directly into management consulting, specializing in healthcare financial turnarounds. Seefeld worked for both PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche in their healthcare and life sciences practices, leaving Deloitte in 2007 to start Interpoint Partners, which specializes in the development and deployment of business intelligence technology solutions for the healthcare industry.

Seefeld’s professional life has carried him to New York, Denver and Atlanta, the latter where he met his wife, Laura Weiss. The two were married in 2008 and now reside in Del Mar. In his free time, Seefeld enjoys surfing, kayaking and mountain bike riding.

EVELYN (KWOK) PEELLE
Swimming
2003 – Warren – Human Development (Minor in ICAM)

A four-year letter winner on the UCSD Swimming & Diving team, Kwok was team captain as both a junior and senior as well as a five-time All-American. She was part of the program during the transition from Division III to Division II and the Triton women never finished lower than fourth nationally during her career.

Immediately after graduating, Peelle joined Delta Graphics, a small outsource publishing company in Carlsbad, as a project manager and graphic designer. She still works for Delta, which specializes in corporate training programs for Fortune 500 companies. She also does freelance design work and recently started her own business—BambooStar Studios—focusing on both corporate design needs and custom wedding invitations.

In 2004, she married former UCSD baseball player Robert Peelle (Revelle ’03). Peelle has also stayed involved in swimming as a competitor and coach. She’s the longest-tenured coach at the La Jolla Swim Masters club and competes in both triathlon and swimming. She hopes to complete her first marathon next year. Since 2001, Peelle has served as a volunteer with the Challenged Athletes Foundation, a non-profit that raises money so that individuals with disabilities can get more involved with sports and fitness.

MICHAEL MEYER
Tennis
2003 – Muir – Management Science

A three-year team captain and MVP on the Triton Men's Tennis team, hard-charging Michael Meyer played either No. 1 or No.2  singles and doubles for four years. He went to the NCAA Division III Championships as an individual in 2000 and was the NCAA West Region's Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship winner in 2002.

Following his graduation, Meyer traveled through France with UC San Diego teammate Sameer Chopra playing in professional tournaments and training with former UCSD assistant coach Jean-Michel Piazza. He returned from Europe in late 2003 and since January 2004 has worked at De La Rosa & Co. investment bank, specializing in public finance with clients that include the nation's largest cities and public agencies. He has been involved in over 50 municipal bond financings, worth several billion dollars.

Meyer still plays and occasionally teaches tennis and has hopes of potentially returning to the tennis industry in the future. He captains a USTA team out of the Golden Gateway Club in San Francisco which includes another former UCSD standout, Jeff Wilson. The team has made the nationals the last three years, finishing second in 2008. Meyer is also a volunteer at East Palo Alto Tennis & Tutoring, teaching his sport and tutoring underprivileged fifth and sixth graders.
