One of the most decorated players to come through the UC San Diego women's soccer program, Kristin Jones is in her 10th season as a Triton assistant coach in 2013.
Jones was promoted to the top assistant position prior to the start of the 2006 campaign. She assists with all aspects of the program in addition to on-field coaching, including recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, travel and camps.
Jones was a two-time All-American for head coach Brian McManus, accumulating 81 points for her illustrious four-year career from 2000-03. As a senior, she was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year after producing 10 goals and 12 assists and leading the Tritons to their fourth-straight CCAA Championships and their third appearance at the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Final Four.
Alongside her duties at UCSD, Jones is currently the director of coaching with the La Jolla Impact and the girl's varsity coach at La Jolla High School.
Jones previously assisted McManus with the organization of the La Jolla Nomads Soccer Club for six years, earning a promotion to assistant director of the girl's program in 2008.
Jones earned her degree from UCSD in human development in 2004.
