HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Desert Christian High School in Lancaster ... Named the Knights' Team Captain in 2011 ... Was three-time Desert Mountain League Cross Country MVP (2009-11) and was two-time All-CIF recipient at the Division 5 Southern Section Championships, placing ninth in 2010 and fourth in 2011, among other accolades ... Recipient of the 2012 United States Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete Award ... Team was runner-up at 2011 California Division 5 Cross Country Championships and holds fourth-fastest time ever run by a Division 5 team at the California State Meet ... Holds records at six different courses, including the Bell Jeff Invitational (14:40) ...
