AS A JUNIOR IN 2009-10: Competed at the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championships held in Canton, Ohio... Finished 24th in the 400 IM with a time of 4:09.08... Placed 30th in the 1000 free after crossing the line in 9:37.35... Received All-Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference accolades after showing a strong effort at the league championships, as he finished second in the 1650 free (15:51.49), third in the 500 free (4:33.96) and fifth in the 400 IM (4:06.91)... Ended the school year on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll at the Gold Level (includes GPAs above 3.500).
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008-09: Received All-Conference and All-American honors for a spectacular sophomore season... Earning a chance to compete at the NCAA Division II National Championships, he placed 17th in the 1650 free with a new personal best of 15:53.68... Also at the NCAA Championships, he finished 15th in the 1000 free with a 9:41.74 mark and 27th in the 400 IM after a time of 4:07.18... At the PCSC Championships he placed second in the 1650 free with a 15:55.23 mark, sixth in the 400 IM at 4:09.17 and third in the 500 free at 4:37.93... Named the "Most Improved" on the UCSD men's squad... Concluded the school year on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll at the Silver Level (includes GPAs from 3.300 to 3.499).
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007-08: Earned All-Conference honors during his first season with the Tritons... Finished third in the 1650 free at the PCSC Championships with a season-best time of 16:13.95... Also recorded his season-bests in the 500 free with a time of 4:40.85 and the 400 IM with a time of 4:12.20 during the PCSC Championships... Earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll at the Bronze Level (includes GPAs from 3.00 to 3.299).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Torrance High School in Torrance, Calif... Led team to second-place finish in CIF DIII Finals... A 4-time CIF Qualifier, 2-time team MVP, and member of All-Area and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American teams... Other experience includes swimming for SPPY Swim Team from 2000 through 2006... Junior National Team Member... Recorded statistical bests of 1:45.87 in the 200 free and 4:41.76 in the 500 free for High School team and bests of 9:40.16 in the 1000 free, 16:19.96 in the 1650 free, 2:02.35 in the 200 IM, and 4:16.56 in the 400 IM for club team.
