AS A JUNIOR IN 2013
Was one of three Tritons to start in all 58 games… Led the team with 150 assists… Was 11-for-14 in stolen bases… Finished second on the team with 10 doubles… Posted eight multiple-hit appearances including going 2-for-2 in both ends of the Cal State East Bay series, finishing 4-for-8 with one run and three RBI as UCSD took the series 3-1… Compiled three runs, two hits and 12 assists at the CCAA Championship Tournament in Stockton, Calif. May 3-5... Received All-CCAA Second Team and All-CCAA Tournament team recognition.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2012
Earned All-CCAA Honorable Mention and All-NCAA Tournament recognition ... Started all 68 games at shortstop ... Finished with 31 runs, 45 hits and 41 RBI ... Had nine doubles, a triple and two home runs ... Walked 34 times, tied for the team lead ... Broke school's single season record with 177 assists ... Was 10-for-14 in stolen bases ... Hit a home run in back-to-back series (Cal State San Bernardino and Felician College) ... Scored three runs against Humboldt State (3/14).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2011
Earned CCAA Freshman of the Year honors and was named to All-CCAA Second Team ... One of two Tritons to start all 58 games, all but four at shortstop ... Hit .357 (46-for-129) with 12 doubles, 23 RBI and two triples ... Finished second on the team with 112 assists from the left side of the infield while posting a .933 fielding percentage ... Went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and an RBI in her Triton debut, accounting for a team season-high seven total bases in the process (2/4) ... Recorded four RBI in a single game against Humboldt State, the only UCSD player to accomplish that feat (3/5) ... Earned "CCAA Player of the Week" for the week of Feb. 14-20 after batting .444 (4-for-9) with three runs scored, three doubles and five RBI in a tripleheader against Cal State Monterey Bay (2/20).

A 2010 graduate of St. Francis High School in Sacramento ... Earned All-Delta River League honors in her last two years at SFHS, including All-Second Team honors as a junior (2009) and Optimist Team recognition as a senior (2010) with the Troubadours ... Made All-Delta River League as a sophomore at SFHS (2008) ... Played for the Runnin' Rebels Gold softball club in Stockton from 2006-09, winning second place at the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) U16 National Championships in 2007 ... Additionally, played a season for the California Grapettes in Stockton (2010) ... Also played basketball as a freshman while at SFHS.

PERSONAL
Born Aug. 20, 1992 in Sacramento ... Parents are Manuel and Elizabeth Romero ... Has two older sisters named Cynthia and Marisela and an older brother named Antonio ... Her father Manuel ran cross country at New Mexico ... Majoring in political science at Marshall College ... Winning the NCAA Division II National Championship as a freshman is her favorite softball moment ... Jumping on teammate Sarah Woofter after the last out of the 2011 National Championship game is her favorite UCSD memory ... Enjoys dancing, climbing trees, collecting rocks, and swimming in her spare time ... Willie Mays is her favorite athlete ... Her favorite baseball team is the San Francisco Giants and her favorite basketball team is the Sacramento Kings ... Pocahontas is her favorite movie ... Would only eat mashed potatoes for the rest of her life if given the chance ... Her parents and her older sister Marisela are the greatest influences in her life ... Plans to go to law school after graduating from UCSD.
