LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC San Diego women’s program has garnered College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team recognition for the 2013 fall term.

For the Scholar All-America Team award, an average team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher was required for the fall quarter or semester. As such, UCSD posted a 3.10 GPA on the women’s side.

UCSD tied with Notre Dame College at 3.10. The women of Lynn University posted the highest team average in Division II with a 3.71. The University of Bridgeport had the second-highest average at 3.69.

The Tritons returned just this past Sunday from Ohio, where they placed fifth at the 2014 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships, marking a 14th consecutive top-five finish nationally at the Division II level.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. It is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
