TRITON NOTES
One of only two national champions (along with Mercedes O'Brien) on the 2012-13 UCSD roster, having won the 200 breast as a freshman at the 2011 NCAA Division II Championships ... One of four Triton captains in 2012-13.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011-12
Competed in nine events at the Pacific Collegiate Swimming & Diving Conference (PCSC) Championships for the Tritons, winning six, including three as an individual ... Won the 200 IM (1:49.97), 100 breast (54.68) and 200 breast (1:57.47) ... Also was a part of the first-place team in the 200 free relay (1:22.04) and swam the breast leg of both the 200 medley relay (1:30.00) and 400 medley relay (3:18.93) ... Went on to place among top five in six of seven events at the NCAA Division II Championships in Mansfield, Texas ... Placed third nationally with the 200 free relay team (1:20.71) ... Additionally took third as an individual in the 100 breast (53.79) and 200 breast (1:57.45) ... Swam the breast leg as part of quartet that finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 200 medley relay (1:28.56) and 400 medley relay (3:14.67) ... Finished fifth in the 200 IM (1:47.73) ... Turned in a 12th-place performance in the 100 fly (48.95) ... Qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in which he competed in the prelims of the 100 breast (1:04.35, T-78th) and 200 breast (2:20.48, T-77th).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010-11
Won a NCAA title in the 200 breast with a school-record time of 1:57.19 ... Swam a school-record 54.58 in the 100 breast (2/18) ... Named the Division II Counsilman-Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week (2/23) ... A double-qualifier for the 2012 Olympic Trials with a time of 1:03.90 in the 100 breaststroke at the Fran Crippen Meet of Champions and a 2:19.95 in the 200 breast at the U.S. Championships ... Also competed in the PCSC Championships ... Earned first place in the 200 IM (1:50.73), 100 breast (54.58), 400 medley relay (3:20.10) and 200 breast (1:58.56) ... Helped the 200 medley relay team take first place (1:30.40) with a 24.94 split.

UC IRVINE
Did not have the chance to compete for the Anteaters during the 2009-10 school year as UCI cut its swimming program because of budget issues.

CLUB
Competed with Canyons Aquatic Club from 2007-11.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2009 graduate of William S. Hart High School in Newhall ... As a senior, he recorded one of the top California Interscholastic Federation times for the 100 breaststroke with a 56.75 ... Was also a member of Hart's 200 medley relay team that set a school record with a 1:35.00 mark in 2009 ... Earned All-American status as a junior and senior ... Captured a total of five Foothill League titles during his time at Hart ... Named the Indians' MVP in 2008 and 2009 ... Earned Most Improved Swimmer award in 2006 and 2007.

Having his whole team cheer for him during the NCAA Championship in which he won the 200 breast is his favorite UC San Diego moment ...
