*2010 NCAA Division II National Championships 'A' Qualifier*

As a Junior in 2008-09: Named a UCSD Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year after earning All-American and All-Conference accolades as a junior... at the NCAA Division II National Championship, repeated as the best in the 100 free field by posting an NCAA record time of of 43.30... helped the Tritons set new school records in the 200 and 400 medley and the 200 free relays as UCSD placed fifth in the 400 medley and third in the 200 free... at the NCAA Championships also placed second in the 50 free with a new school record of 19.69... set a new school record for a 50 fly split with a 21.53 mark in the 200 medley relays at the prelims of the NCAA Championships... also posted a new UCSD record for a 50 free split of 19.41 in the prelims of 200 free relay at the NCAA Championships... helped the Tritons capture the PCSC Championship with a victory in the 100 free at a mark of 45.26, another win in the 50 free and a second-place finish in the 100 fly... also helped UCSD to first in the 200 free relay and two second-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay at the PCSC Championships... won the 50 and 100 free at the Nike Cup.

As a Sophomore in 2007-08: Set UCSD records in two individual events, two relay splits, and as part of one relay team while earning All-Conference and All-American recognition during the 2007-08 season... at the PCSC Championships, helped 200 medley relay team to victory with a time of 1:31.81, finished first in the 50 free with a time of 20.43, finished second in the 100 fly with a time of 51.60, and was part of the 400 medley relay team's third-place finish... earned national champion status in the 50 free, breaking his own school record in the preliminaries and then again in the finals with a time of 20.07... also at the NCAA Championships, spurred 200 free relay team to a third-place finish and new school record with a time of 1:21.94 with his record 50 free split of 19.46, while helping 400 medley relay team to a fifth-place time of 3:22.00... Put together a great final day at the NCAA Championships, winning his second event of the meet, the 100 free, with a time of 44.23, setting a UCSD 100 free relay split record as part of the 400 free relay team's fourth-place finish, and earning Male Swimmer of the Meet honors for his tremendous accomplishments... for his two national championships, which served as not only school records, but also met qualifying standards for the U.S. Olympic Trials, Perdew was featured in the May 19th issue of Sports Illustrated as one of the magazine's Faces in the Crowd.

As a Freshman in 2006-07: Notched PCSC All-Conference and NCAA All-American honors in his first season with the Tritons... finished fourth overall at Nationals in the 50 free with a 20.39 time, the fourth fastest in school history... swam the first leg of UCSD's NCAA 200 free relay team which finished second overall with a time of 1:22.49... also finished fifth in the 100 free with a time of 45.28.

High School: Attended Damien HS where the swimming team went undefeated in league and placed 2nd in the CIF south section division I... top times recorded were in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free.

Personal: Born April 1, 1987... parents are Marc Perdew and Diane Reyes... both parents are graduates of Cal Poly Pomona... has an older sister named Kari Swift... lists hobbies as snowboarding, reading and surfing... favorite teams include Dodgers, Lakers and Steelers... is a Management Science and Psychology major at Marshall College... most memorable moment is setting a new NCAA record in the 100 free at the 2009 Division II National Championships.
