AS A JUNIOR IN 2010: Was limited to just one event during the year, finishing in 13th place with a time of 26:39.6 at the Bronco Preview Meet in Whittier.

Had a great follow-up to an impressive rookie campaign, appearing in all six events on the season… Was UCSD’s top finisher on three occasions, including the NCAA West Regional… Time of 32:58.1 in that race was good enough for 35th place overall… Also paced the Tritons at both the Southern Indiana Pre-National Invite and Triton Classic, finishing 24th (26:52.43) and 10th (33:37.3) in those two events, respectively… Won the men’s Triton of the Year award at the end of the season. 

Named the squad’s Freshman of the Year after an impressive first season at UCSD… Competed in all seven events on the year, finishing among the Tritons’ top five in each of the last three… Finished 20th overall at the Triton Classic after clocking in at 33:42.5… Was UCSD’s third finisher and placed 17th overall at the CCAA Championships with a time of 26:37.7… Took 51st at the NCAA West Regional with a final time of 35:55.7.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of San Luis Obispo High School in San Luis Obispo, Calif.… Helped lead the team to the CIF Division III Southern Section Final and earned All-CIF First Team honors for his performance… His squad went on to the California State Championships… Registered personal best times of 2:06 in the 800, 4:31 in the 1600, and 4:31 in the 3200.

Born on December 1, 1989 in San Luis Obispo… Parents are Edward and Tammy Riley… Has a younger sister named Lauren… His Grandpa Milford was an NCAA All-American in the 1500 at UCLA… Enjoys deep sea fishing and base jumping in his spare time… Is a L.A. Lakers fan and pulls for Meta World Peace… Michael Jordan is one of his greatest influences… Can't live without peanut butter… Is a Bioengineering major in Warren College… Plans to attend graduate school after completing his coursework at UCSD.
