AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009: Took part in all six events in her second season as a Triton… Finished in UCSD’s top five in all but one them… Nabbed fourth place overall and third among Tritons in the team’s season opener after recording a time of 16:00.2 on her home course… Finished 23rd at the Triton Classic with a time of 23:33.6 and then placed 24th at the CCAA Championships two weeks later at 23:53.6… Finished with a time of 23:19.5 at the NCAA West Regional, which was good enough for 54th place individually.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008: Appeared in six of the team’s seven events in her first year on campus… Was the Tritons’ third scorer in the SDSU Aztec Invitational, finishing 85th with a time of 19:35… Highest finish of the year came at the CSUSB Coyotes Invite when she placed 15th overall with a final time of 24:09… Finished 30th at the CCAA Championships, clocking in at 24:02.3.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Canyon High School in Anaheim, Calif., where she was team captain of the cross country team… Led CHS to a league championship as a senior and the squad went on to the CIF-Southern Section Finals… Canyon finished 9th at State and 4th at Nike Team Nationals… Earned the Coaches Award for her performance… Registered personal bests of 5:24 in the mile, 11:41 in the two mile, 18:23 in the three mile, 2:36 in the 800m, and 19:19 in the 5k.
