Represented UC San Diego in the first four meets of the season … Turned in her best overall finish of 32nd place and highest finish among Tritons (12th) at the Lancer Invitational, reaching the finish line in 20:13 … Kicked off the season with a 53rd-place showing at the UCSD Opener, coming away with a time of 17:44 … Closed the season at home with the 20th Annual Triton Invitational (25:27.8, 132nd) and finished with the same place at the adidas/UC Irvine Invitational (20:59.1) ... A CCAA All-Academic selection.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2011
Competed in six races during remarkable first year and figured into the score on two occasions ... Started season with a 15th-place finish in the UCSD Opener (16:32.1) ... Factored into team score of Asics/UCI Invitational as the Tritons' fourth finisher while finishing 49th overall (19:01.9) ... Turned in a 55th-place showing at Runners Soul Erik Anderson Invitational (23:27.736) ... Finished 43rd and 94th, respectively, at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships (23:00) and NCAA Division II West Regional Championships (24:10).
A 2011 graduate of Canyon High School in Anaheim, where she was a two-time All-Century League First Team performer for the cross country squad ... Led the Comanches to four straight league titles and a fifth-place finish at CIF in 2010 ... That was the highest showing in school history ... Was named the Century League Distance Runner of the Year as a junior ... Personal bests included 5:15 in the mile and 17:53 in the three-mile ... Also competed in water polo and swimming at CHS.
