AS A FRESHMAN IN 2011-12
Debuted with ninth-place showing in men's epee at 16th Annual BladeRunner Tournament at RIMAC (10/29-10/30) ... Won the men's epee at the Collegiate Open, hosted at UC Irvine (11/6) ... Finished with a 12-6 record at the Air Force-hosted NCAA West Invitational (1/7-1/8) ... Earned another first-place finish in men's epee at the IFCSC Individual Championships (2/11-2/12) ... Concluded remarkable freshman season at the NCAA West Regionals at Stanford with a seventh-place finish in men's epee, the highest placing among the Triton men in that event (3/10-3/11) ... Named the team's Rookie of the Year by his teammates on the men's side after season concluded.
