At the Mangrum Invitational, had the top mark in the pole vault at 14'10.75" ... Competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, finishing in fifth place in the pole vault after clearing 15'3" ... Cleared 15'1" to best the field at the Soka Peace Invitational ... Finished seventh at the Triton Invitational in the pole vault with a leap of 14'8.25" ... Had the fourth-best mark in the pole vault (14'5") at the Rossi Relays ... Also took fourth at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge (14'3") ... Finished the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Track & Field Championships in the pole vault with a final mark of 14'6", giving him a sixth-place finish overall.

A 2010 graduate of Loyola High School of Los Angeles in Los Angeles ... Won the pole vault event at the CIF-SS Division II Prelims with a final mark of 14'6" as a senior (2010) ... Took third in the pole vault at the CIF-SS Divisional Finals and fourth at the CIF-SS Masters Meet, clearing a top height of 15'0" at both meets during his senior year (2010) ... Finished third overall in the pole vault finals at the California State Meet CIF upon clearing a personal-best height of 15'9" after placing fifth in the prelims with a mark of 15'3" during his final season with the Cubs (2010) ... Had a top indoor mark of 14'10" in the pole vault, which he earned at the National Pole Vault Summit in Reno, Nev. during his last season at LHS (2010).
