All-American in the javelin with a seventh-place finish (214'11") at his first NCAA Championships (5/25) ... CCAA champion (221'4") in the javelin, a personal-best length that also netted him UCSD's lone automatic qualifier for the season (5/4) ... Earned the CCAA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week after shattering the meet record to finish first at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge with a throw of 212'4" (3/9) while moving to second on UCSD's all-time top 10 list for that concentration (Week of 3/4-3/10) ... Competed in the javelin at the CCAA Championships, where he threw a personal-best distance of 199'1" to place second overall ... Tossed the javelin 192'10" at the Cal State L.A. Last Chance Qualifier, placing fifth overall to end his season ... Won the javelin at the Soka Peace Invitational upon throwing a top distance of 192'10" ... Matched his personal-best mark of 5'10" in the high jump at the 16th Annual Rossi Relays, finishing in a tie for eighth place.
