A 2012 graduate of Carondelet High School in Concord ... Recognized as East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) Varsity Best Jumper during her sophomore (2010) and senior (2012) years ... Earned EBAL Frosh/Soph MVP Award and was named EBAL Frosh/Soph MVP Jumper as a freshman (2009) ... Had a personal-best performance of 5'2" to win the high jump at the De La Salle/Super 7 meet as a senior (2012) ... Won the triple jump upon leaping a career-best distance of 33'10.5" at the Charlie Eaton/Bob Warren Relays during her senior year at CHS (2012) ... Finished in 15th place in the triple jump at both the West Coast Relays (31'10") and North Coast Section (NCS) Tri-Valley Championships (33'2") in 2012 ... Settled for second place in the high jump (4'10") and 16th place in the triple jump (32'5.5") at the EBAL Championships during her junior year (2011) ... Also played basketball for the Cougars during her freshman year (2009) and ran cross country as a junior and senior (2010-11) ... Was the seventh-place finisher in the 2.1-mile race at the 26th Moreau Catholic Mariner-Saucony Invitational, finishing with a personal-record time of 15 minutes, 55.20 seconds in her senior year (2011) ... Ran career-best race in the three mile at the Mt. SAC Invitational, placing 52nd with a time of 22:56 during her junior year (2010).

Born April 5, 1994 in Concord ... Parents are George and Janice Francis ... Has four older brothers named Peter, Roger, Clayton and Gary ... Father competed in track and field at Cal State East Bay and in junior college ... Brother Roger ran track for UC San Diego ... Brothers Peter and Clayton participated in track at Chico State ... Majors in structural engineering at Muir College ... Most memorable track moment was earning a personal-best mark in the high jump during her junior year, shortly after being told by her new jumps coach to just focus on the triple jump ... Spending time with family and friends, wakeboarding in the summer and reading are among her hobbies ... Loves eating pie made by her mom ... Her dad and her brothers are her favorite athletes ... "Transformers" is her favorite movie ... Would rather play sports than watch them on TV ... Greatest influence in her life is her family ... Hopes after graduating from UCSD to find a job that she loves doing so it does not feel like work.
