Hit personal bests as a senior in both the shot put and discus throw at the Irvine Invitational, where he tossed a personal-record mark of 45'9" in the shot put to finish in ninth place overall and threw a career-best distance of 129'4" in the discus for a 17th-place showing (2012) ... Finished 31st in the shot put (41'5") and 26th in the discus (125'9") at the Trabuco Hills Invitational as a senior (2012) ... Earned a 12th-place result upon throwing 38'11" in the shot put at the San Gabriel Valley League Finals during his final year with the Vikings (2012).

Born on Dec. 28, 1993 in Downey ... Parents are Jorge and Blanca Rico ... Majoring in computer science at Marshall College ... Would eat only mashed potatoes for the rest of his life if given the chance.
