AS A JUNIOR IN 2011: With a mark of 231'3'', won second consecutive NCAA national title in javelin ... Took first place in the javelin with a toss of 202'6'' at the All-Cal Challenge ... Had the second best throw of his career at the Cal/Nevada track and field championships with a mark of 222'2'' ... Finished in 16th place at the Sun Angel Invitational in the javelin with a toss of 176'11'' ... Won his third straight CCAA Championship with a result of 220'2'' ... Also competed in the Mangrum Invitational where he took on the high jump with a leap of 6'1.25''.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2010: Placed third in the javelin at the Triton Invitational with a toss of 210'2"... Won a second straight CCAA Championship with a throw of 208'6" in his primary event... Qualified for the 2010 NCAA Championships as the third-ranked competitor in the javelin... Won the national title with a school-record toss of 225', becoming the first Triton on the men's side to take home an individual national championship at the Division II level... Awarded one of five team athletes of the year at the end of the season.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2009: CCAA Freshman of the Year after
winning the javelin event with a throw of 189’10”… NCAA qualifier in javelin
after setting a program record of 201’3” in a winning effort at the Occidental
Invitational… Finished 11th in the javelin at the National
Championships with a throw of 195’11”… Sixth in the javelin at 193’10” during
the Triton Invitational, 10th at Cal/Nevada Championships, and 13th
in event during UCLA Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational.
