AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2012
Contended in the men's pole vault for UC San Diego at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Track & Field Championships ... Successfully cleared a height of 14'10.25" to place seventh overall at the CCAA Championships ... Won the pole vault event while hitting a personal-best mark of 15'5.75" at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge to earn the seventh-highest mark in UCSD history ... Also made a height of 15'1" at the All-Cal Challenge, where he finished third overall ... Placed first at the Mangrum Invitational upon clearing a height of 14'11" ... Additionally, ran the anchor leg of the UCSD 4x400-meter relay en route to a time of 3 minutes, 25.38 seconds and an eighth-place showing at the 26th Annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational ... Represented the third leg at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge, helping the Tritons place sixth overall with a time of 3:33.16.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2011
Cleared 13'8.5'' at the Triton Invitational to claim 16th place at pole vault ... Came in 10th place at the Rossi Relays in pole vault (13'11.75'') ... Competed at the San Diego Collegiate Challenge, taking eighth in the 200 with a final mark of 24.18 and third in pole vault (14'9'') ... Finished the All-Cal Challenge 200 with a fifth-place result of 24.14 and a third-place showing in pole vault (14'5.25") ... Ended the CCAA Championships in pole vault with a final mark of 13'11.75'', which was good enough for an eighth-place finish.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2010 graduate of Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos ... Earned team honors of "Most Inspirational" and "Most Valuable Player" ... As an individual, he was a Central Coast Section Champion and selected as "Vertical Jumper of the Year" ... Recorded a statistical best of 14'9" in the pole vault at the California State Meet CIF as a senior to place 10th overall (2010) ... Had personal best of 52.24 in the 400 at the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League (SCVAL) Qualifier to finish fifth overall as a senior (2010) ...
