Cal State Stanislaus enters the weekend with a 6-18 CCAA record and 13-27 overall. The Warriors are coming off a 0-6 showing at the Mizuno Tournament of Champions as the hosting team. Senior Lauren Liming leads Stanislaus with a .359 average. Senior infielder Sarah Locarinini hits .349 with team highs of 29 runs and 38 hits. In the circle, Randee Hindman leads with a 4.15 ERA in 25 innings of play while Brittani Weatherford and Natalie Rendon each own five wins in a combined 213.2 innings. Weatherford leads with 119.0 innings, while Rendon has a team high 51 strikeouts.

UCSD earned a series sweep over the Warriors when we last met, back in Feb. 2012. In the opening doubleheader, shortstop Mya Romero cracked a three-run double in game one and followed with the game-winner of game two, as the Tritons overtook Cal State Stanislaus 4-1 and 5-4 (9 innings) at Triton Softball Field. UCSD closed the series with wins of 8-0 and 2-1.

Jennifer Manuel earned all-tournament honors at the Mizuno Tournament of Champions last week. She posted starts in all three of her appearances on the mound, throwing a 1.83 ERA for just eight hits, no runs and six strikeouts. Manuel earned shutout victories over Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific to bring her overall record to 9-1.

Mya Romero broke into the one hundreds over the weekend, now totaling 108 assist on the year. She is the only individual in the CCAA to reach this mark. Romero will need 122 to earn another spot on the program’s single season top-10 as she already owns the record, with 177 in 2012.

Junior Caitlin Brown connected for her sixth home run of the season in the series finale with San Francisco State on Saturday, Mar. 30. Now with 17 round-trippers, the junior jumped up the program's career leader board to the number four spot. Jenny Maze (2004-08) owns the school record with 35 career home runs.

Nicole Spangler is posting chart-climbing numbers with nine doubles on the season, bringing her to a career total of 21. She'll need just four more to earn a spot on both UCSD’s single season and career top-10 lists.

Emily McQuaid ranks third in the CCAA and leads the Tritons with 19 stolen bases, showing she's a runner to keep your eye on. McQuaid had a single game-high three steals against Regis University on Feb. 17 and again at home against San Francisco State on March 29. McQuaid now sits at No. 4 on the program's career top-10 with 45 swipes.
