Competed in five meets for UC San Diego, representing the Tritons’ top finisher in three races … Led the Tritons with a 39th-place finish at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships in Kahuku, Hawaii, where he clocked in at 34:00.08 … Was the second displacer for UCSD at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships, ending his race in 27th place and with a time of 26:51 … Broke the tape of the UCSD Opener, cruising across the finish line at 21:39.2, which was good enough to earn CCAA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors on Sept. 4 (Week of 8/27-9/2) … Nabbed ninth place overall at the adidas/UC Irvine Invitational with a time of 25:46.9 as the Tritons’ No. 1 scorer … Finished second among Tritons and fifth overall at the 20th Annual Triton Invitational, recording a time of 26:30.2 … While his team was named to the 2012 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic Team, he was the only individual on the men’s side to also earn recognition as an All-Academic performer for the second straight year … Also was honored with a selection to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District® Men’s Track/Cross Country First Team for the NCAA Division II District 8, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) ... AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011
Ran consistently within the top five runners for UCSD in second year of competition, placing second among Tritons in four of six races he competed ... Placed fifth overall in UCSD Opener (22:04.2) ... Led group of four straight UCSD finishers at CCAA Championships, taking 20th overall (26:44.8) ... Finished 39th overall (32:41) in NCAA Division II West Regional Championships ... Was voted by teammates as Most Valuable Racer after season ended ... Named to both USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and CCAA All-Academic Team for the second straight year.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010
Had a strong first season with the Tritons, appearing in seven events and scoring on six occasions ... Finished fourth overall in UCSD's season opener with a time of 22:34.6 ... Was the Tritons' top finisher at the Bronco Preview Meet with a time of 25:51.9, which was good enough for third place overall and later earned CCAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week recognition for his performance (Week of 10/18-10/24) ... Also scored for UCSD in the postseason, finishing 18th with a time of 25:38.6 at the CCAA Championships ... Earned CCAA Freshman of the Year honors with that performance ... Clocked in at 33:56.4 to claim 53rd place at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships in Bellingham, Wash. ... His time of 33:36.1 at the Triton Classic ranks seventh all-time on UCSD's 10k course ... Was named the team's Freshman of the Year at the end of the season ... A 2010 graduate of Clovis West High School in Fresno, where he was a state qualifier in cross country as a senior ... Finished 22nd at the Division I State Championships with a time of 15:39 in the 5k ... Also placed 16th in the 3200 at the state track championships after registering a personal best time of 9:16.58 ... Boasts a personal best of 15:24 for three miles on the Mt. SAC cross country course.
