Ran and scored in all six meets for UC San Diego … Finished 68th overall as the Tritons’ No. 4 scorer at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships in Kahuku, Hawaii, with a time of 34:52.17 … Scored second for UCSD, placing 17th overall with a time of 26:27.8 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships … Led the Tritons with a third-place showing at the Lancer Invitational (25:33) … Had highest finish at the UCSD Opener, where he was the overall runner-up (21:56.7) … Finished eighth overall with a time of 26:36.9 at the 20th Annual Triton Invitational ... Was one of team's Co-Freshmen of the Year.

A 2012 graduate of Desert Christian High School in Lancaster ... Named the Knights' Team Captain in 2011 ... Was three-time Desert Mountain League Cross Country MVP (2009-11) and was two-time All-CIF recipient at the Division 5 Southern Section Championships, placing ninth in 2010 and fourth in 2011, among other accolades ... Recipient of the 2012 United States Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete Award ... Team was runner-up at 2011 California Division 5 Cross Country Championships and holds fourth-fastest time ever run by a Division 5 team at the California State Meet ... Also ran track & field in which he participated in the mile with a personal best of 4:31, two mile (9:45), three mile (14:40), 5,000 meter (15:50) and 10,000 (32:26).

Placing sixth while his team placed second in the 2011 California Division 5 Cross Country State Championships is his favorite cross country memory ... Golfing, reading and fishing are his hobbies ... Steve Prefontaine is his favorite athlete ... His favorite movie is Braveheart ... Enjoys listening to Christian rap and classic rock ... Supports the L.A. Lakers and Dodgers as well as the San Diego Chargers ... His father and high school cross country coaches are his greatest influences ... Is a structural engineering major in Warren College ... Plans to pursue a career in structural engineering in the San Diego area and hopes to one day go to the Olympic Trials in the marathon.
