AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Became UCSD's fourth ever ABCA/Rawlings All-American and earned the National Defensive Player of the Year award... anchored the No. 1 fielding percentage team in the nation... also earned a National Gold Glove, along with All-Region, All-Conference and NCVWA All-American honors... ended the season with 14 consecutive errorless games... led the Tritons with 85 hits.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Earned ABCA/NCAA Rawlings Gold Glove honors for the second-consecutive year... named All-CCAA, ABCA/Rawlings All West Region... led Tritons with 27 mulit-hit games and had 12 multi-RBI games... had a 12-game hitting streak... hit second career-grand slam against Grand Canyon on Feb. 8... had a streak of 28 consecutive errorless games.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Earned ABCA/NCAA Rawlings Gold Glove honors for his .953 fielding percentage at the shortstop position... named to the All-CCAA second-team... hit his first-career grand slam against Grand Canyon on Feb. 10, driving in a career-best five RBI... recorded 18 multi-hit games and seven, three-hit games... recorded UCSD's longest hitting streak of the season at 15 straight games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended South Torrance HS where he earned South High Athlete of the Year in his junior and senior seasons... hit .474 as a sophomore, .375 as a junior and .402 as a senior from the shortstop position... also averaged 14 points per game on the basketball team in his junior and senior seasons... participated on many club teams and the South Bay Sharks.
