LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC San Diego men's soccer team is hosting its first annual 2012 Golf Classic and Beach Barbecue on Thursday, April 5 at Torrey Pines Golf Course and the Martin Johnson House at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography on the campus of UCSD.
The event will kick off with a round of golf at the world renowned Torrey Pines North Golf Course. Check-in is at 11:00 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Following the round will be a sunset barbecue at the Martin Johnson House at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography.
All those interested in supporting the program are invited to participate in the event. All proceeds generated will go to support the UCSD men's soccer program.
"It is our goal to create a fun day bringing together players, parents, alumni and friends of UCSD soccer," said UCSD head coach Jon Pascale.
There are several ways to take part. First and foremost, is GOLF. To sign up a foursome, or to register individually, click here. Friends of the program can sign up for both events, or, one or the other. The golf and beach barbecue package is $249.
If one is unable to golf or attend the barbecue, the program is in need of various levels of sponsorship - donations such as gift baskets, gift cards and other items that can be used in a silent auction, or for prizes and gifts. To view the various sponsorship packages, click here.
The event is being presented by the office of Scott Lamming, D.D.S.
