ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Tritons hit the road for the second consecutive weekend. The four-game streak marks the longest the team will be away from Triton Soccer Field during the regular season. UCSD looks to collect its first road victory as the team currently holds a 0-1-1 record when playing away from home.

ACROSS THE CCAA: After sweeping a pair of home games this past weekend, including a 1-0 win over the Tritons, Cal State L.A. took over the top position in the CCAA South Division with a 3-1 conference record. The North Division is currently led by No. 18 Sonoma State, which is off to a 4-0 start in the league. UCSD plays the Seawolves Oct. 5, its first match against a North Division squad.

WHEN WE LAST MET CAL POLY POMONA: The Tritons completed the first weekend of conference play with a 1-0 win over the Broncos at Triton Soccer Field on Sept. 9. UCSD outshot CPP 13-8, with the first attempt on goal in the 11th minute from Padraig Buckley, a rocket that careened off the left post. Junior forward Tsuk Haroush scored his first goal of the season to help the Tritons keep their CCAA record unblemished.

SINCE WE LAST MET THE BRONCOS: Cal Poly Pomona has only hit the pitch once since last playing the Tritons. The Broncos played a tough road match against the league's current leader, Sonoma State, losing 1-0 on Sept. 16. CPP holds a 2-2-1 overall and 0-2-1 in CCAA play.

WHEN WE LAST MET SAN FRANCISCO STATE: It wasn't that long ago that the two squads opened up the conference schedule, playing each other at Triton Soccer Field on Sept. 7. Adam Zernik connected in the 83rd minute to give the Tritons the game-deciding goal. The ground ball to the right corner was taken as a free kick after the Gators had been called for a hand ball.

SINCE WE LAST MET THE GATORS: San Francisco State has gone on to a 1-4-1 overall record, most recently earning its first victory of the season over Cal Maritime this past Sunday at Cox Stadium. The Gators enter this weekend sitting at 0-2-1 in conference. Sophomore midfielder Kevin Johnson leads the offense with two goals.
