LA JOLLA, Calif. - After picking up three more victories last week, the UC San Diego women's volleyball team will hit the road for four straight to wrap up the 2010 regular season.

The Tritons, who have won eight consecutive matches and 10 of their last 11, will travel to Carson for a matchup with Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday, before squaring off with Cal State L.A. in Los Angeles on Saturday. As usual, both contests are slated to start at 7:00 p.m.

UCSD enters the final two weeks of California Collegiate Athletic Association play riding its longest winning streak of the season and head coach Ricci Luyties' squad will look to add to it against the Toros and Golden Eagles this weekend. Currently No. 4 in the latest NCAA West Regional poll, the Tritons enter Friday's contest with an overall record of 15-7 and a 12-6 mark in the CCAA after going 3-0 last week.

UCSD recorded a big 3-1 victory over No. 22 Cal State East Bay in Hayward to start the week and then returned to La Jolla to take down Cal State Stanislaus (3-1) and Chico State (3-0). With the win over East Bay, the Tritons moved into third place in the conference standings and remain a game behind the Pioneers entering play this week. No. 7 Cal State San Bernardino holds the top spot in the standings, four games in front of East Bay.

The Tritons were outstanding offensively last week, recording a hitting percentage of .247 in their three wins. Defensively, UCSD limited the opposition to just .173 hitting, highlighted by Chico State's .170 mark on Saturday.

Junior outside hitter Katie Condon led the Tritons with a total of 39 kills on .306 hitting against the Pioneers, Warriors and Wildcats, while also racking up 35 digs. Fellow outside/setter Roxanne Brunsting totaled 36 kills, a team-high 67 assists and 29 digs, finishing a dig shy of her sixth triple double of the season against Chico State. The Chula Vista, Calif. native turned in an impressive performance in the win over Cal State East Bay, finishing with 11 kills, 24 assists and 12 digs.

Hillary Williamson also put together a strong week for UCSD, finishing with 31 kills and 36 digs in three matches, while Julia Freidenberg tallied 17 kills, three blocks and a team-high six service aces.

The Tritons will be going for the season sweep of both Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State L.A. after knocking off both squads at RIMAC Arena earlier this season.

UCSD defeated CSULA 3-1 on October 1, with Condon and Kaitlin Potter tallying 12 kills apiece to lead the way, while double-doubles by Condon (12 kills, 10 digs) and Thalia McCann (30 assists, 11 digs) paved the way for a Triton sweep of CSUDH the following evening.

Cal State Dominguez Hills enters Friday's matchup with an overall record of 3-21 and a league mark of 2-16, while Cal State L.A. stands at 13-9 on the season and 10-8 in the CCAA. The Toros are currently 11th in the conference standings, while the Golden Eagles are fifth. The two squads met Tuesday night in Carson, with Cal State L.A. prevailing 3-0.
