CSUDH Match to Feature Live Video Stream
Friday night's match at Cal State Dominguez Hills will feature a live video broadcast on the Toro Sports Network. Fans can watch free of charge with no registration required at GoToros.com. The broadcast will start at 6:40 p.m. with first serve slated for 7 p.m.
AVCA Ranking Jumps Again, Tritons 12th
For the second straight week, UCSD made a jump in the national poll, moving from 15th to 12th. Concordia-St. Paul held onto the top spot again, while Tampa moved from third to second and the CCAA's Cal State San Bernardino dropped from second to third. No other CCAA teams are in the top-25.
Tritons Open CCAA Slate with Pair of Wins
UCSD rode the momentum gained from going 4-0 in Hawaii to win its first two CCAA matches of the season, both at RIMAC Arena. On Sept. 9, the Tritons swept Cal Poly Pomona behind Katie Condon's double-double of 13 kills and 13 digs. Solid defensive play led to a 74-56 advantage in digs for UCSD. On Sept. 11, Hillary Williamson totaled 15 kills and 16 digs to help the Tritons to a sweep over San Francisco State. Roxanne Brunsting also recorded a double-double with 18 assists and 13 digs.

Williamson ranks 10th in the nation in kills/set (4.35) and 11th in points/set (5.00) ... Roxanne Brunsting has tallied a double-double in 5 of 6 matches ... CCAA Coaches Pick UCSD to Finish Second in the League
The annual California Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAA) Preseason Coaches Poll has UCSD finishing second in the league this season. Reigning champion Cal State San Bernardino is chosen to repeat and Sonoma State rounds out the top three.
UCSD Volleyball Honored by AVCA for Academic Excellence
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recently announced that the UCSD women's volleyball program earned an AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2010-11 season. The award, which was initiated following the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale. Since the award's inception, the number of honorees has grown 674%. A total of 481 squads garnered the award this year, 57 of those coming from the NCAA Division II ranks.
