It was a 1-1 week as the Tritons swept Cal State Stanislaus and then suffered their first loss, a 3-2 defeat against Chico State. In the loss, Roxanne Brunsting posted the first triple-double by any Triton this season with 10 kills, 30 assists and 13 digs. Katie Condon floored a career-high 22 kills as UCSD came back from two sets down to force a fifth and deciding frame. It was the first time an opponent finished with a higher attack percentage than UCSD. Against Stanislaus, Hillary Williamson led all players with 18 kills. Janessa Werhane totaled a match-high 14 digs and the Tritons had a season-best 10 service aces.

Tritons Drop for First Time in National Poll
After breaking into the national top-10 in last week's AVCA poll, the Tritons fell back to No. 12 this week. It was the first drop in the poll for UCSD, which had improved its ranking for three consecutive weeks. For the second week in a row, the top-three remained the same with Concordia-St. Paul in first, Tampa in second and the CCAA's Cal State San Bernardino in third. No other CCAA schools are in the top-25, but Chico State did receive votes.
