Most recently, the Tritons went 3-1 at the Seawolf Spike, hosted by Sonoma State. They picked up wins over 18th-ranked Western Washington, Seattle Pacific and Dominican and lost vs. Central Washington. The week prior, UCSD went 2-2 at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix. Wins came against Western New Mexico and Colorado-Colorado Springs with losses vs. No. 13 Metro State and host Grand Canyon. The last time the Tritons started a season with such a long road swing was back in 2007 when they played nine away from home between San Bernardino and Hawaii.
