TRITON NOTES
Only fifth-year member of the 2012-13 UCSD roster ... One of only two returning national champions (with Nicholas Korth), having swam the breaststroke leg of the first-place 200 medley relay in a school-record time of 1:42.56 that still stands, as a freshman at the 2009 NCAA Division II Championships.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2011-12
Competed for the Tritons in four events at the Pacific Collegiate Swimming & Diving Conference (PCSC) Championships ... Was part of the first-place 200 medley relay team (1:43.68) ... Also swam at the PCSC Championships to a sixth-place finish in the 100 breast (1:07.33) and a 12th-place showing in the 200 breast (2:27.44) ... Additionally competed in the 50 free.

2010-11
Redshirted the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009-10
Received All-American and All-PCSC accolades for the second straight season ... During the NCAA Division II National Championships in Canton, Ohio, was a key relay member of the fourth-place 200 medley (29.06 split) and the fifth-place 400 medley (1:05.04 split) teams ... At the Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference Championships, helped the 200 medley relay squad to a first-place finish and the 400 medley relay team to second place ... Also at the league championships, took third individually in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.98).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008-09
Earned All-American and All-PCSC honors ... At the NCAA Division II National Championships, placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.61) and 11th in the 200 breast (2:20.17) and was part of the first-place foursome in the 200 medley relay that set a new school record of 1:42.56 ... At the PCSC Championships, finished second in the 200 breast (2:22.03), third in the 100 breast (1:04.95) and 13th in the 50 free (24.58) while also helping the 200 medley relay team to a victory (1:45.29).

Competed with the Lodi City Swim Club in Lodi (1999-2008).

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2008 graduate of Galt (Calif.) High School in Galt ... Was the team MVP, sectional finalist and league finalist all four years ... Earned Sierra Valley Conference titles in the 100 free in 2007-08 and the 100 breast in 2008 ... School record holder in the 100 free, 100 breast, 200 medley relay and 400 free ... Earned all-league and all-academic recognition ... Statistical bests of 55.10 in the 100 free, 1:06.48 in the 100 breast and 2:26 in the 200 breast ... Also ran cross country at GHS.

Born April 13, 1990 in Los Gatos ... Parents are Timothy and Lorinda O'Brien ... Has an older brother named Joe and an older sister named Melissa ... An environmental systems (environmental chemistry) major in Warren College ... Being part of the NCAA Division II national champion 200 medley relay team in 2009 is her most memorable swimming moment ... Favorite pro teams are the Indianapolis Colts and the San Diego Padres ... Hobbies include boating, wakeboarding, tubing, surfing, crafts and baking ... Plans to pursue a Master's degree in sustainable management upon graduating from UC San Diego.
