Air Ball
For the second straight year, a majority of UCSD men's basketball games will be broadcast live by ESPN Radio 1700. A total of 18 games will be aired, including every home contest, four CCAA road games (11/24 at Cal State San Bernardino, 1/3 at Cal Poly Pomona, 2/1 at Cal State Dominguez Hills, 2/2 at Cal State L.A.) and the exhibition at San Diego State on Nov. 5. Craig Elsten will handle the play-by-play while color commentary will be provided by various people, including former Tritons. You can also hear the broadcasts online at UCSDtritons.com.

Coach and Coach
Also for the second year in a row, UCSD head coach Chris Carlson will be a weekly guest on XX Sports 1090's "Coach" Kentera Show. Carlson will join host John Kentera every Tuesday at approximately 10 p.m. You can listen online as well at http://bit.ly/TsuTZ6.

Tourney Time
Following Monday's exhibition, the Tritons open their regular season slate at the Dixie State Classic in St. George, Utah, on Friday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 10. UCSD plays the host on Friday at 6:30 p.m. (PT) and faces off against Fresno Pacific on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Colorado Mesa is also participating. The Tritons won the Disney Tip-Off Classic to open their 2011-12 season, the second straight year they won the title.

In the Preseason Coaches Poll
UCSD was picked to finish 11th in the CCAA regular season standings in the league's preseason coaches poll, the same spot the Tritons finished last year. Chico State topped the list and was followed by Cal Poly Pomona in second and Cal State San Bernardino in third.

Nearing 600 Wins
UCSD is just two victories shy of the program's 600th. The Tritons enter their 2012-13 campaign at 598-621 since the 1965-66 season.
