UCSD students and children under seven are admitted free to all regular season home games. Tickets for all games at RIMAC Arena are available at the main entrance on game day. For the third consecutive season, a majority of UCSD's men's basketball games will be broadcast by ESPN Radio 1700 AM. A total of 17 non-conference and California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) games will be on air, including all home league games and select road conference games. Craig Elsten, in his fifth season as the voice of Triton men's and women's basketball during online broadcasts, serves as the play-by-play announcer. Color commentary will be handled by former Tritons Alan Husted and Tyler McGrath this Friday and Saturday, respectively. A full list of games being aired can be found by clicking here.

All UCSD home games will feature a free live video stream that will be coupled with the audio from the ESPN Radio 1700 AM broadcast. You can access the video/audio feed by clicking here. In addition, all home games will be covered by live stats, which can be viewed by clicking here.

First-year UCSD head coach Eric Olen will be a weekly guest on The Mighty 1090's "Coach" Kentera Show all season long. Olen will be live this Thursday, Jan. 2, at 8:30 p.m. You can listen to the show on the radio or online.

James McCann is closing in on UCSD's Division II (since the 2000-01 season) career assists record. Heading into this week's games, the senior guard has accumulated 358 career helpers, which ranks second on the school's list. The DII record is held by Clint Allard, who dished out 414 assists between 2004 and 2008. The all-time school record is 496 by Darvin Jackson (1988-92).

James McCann is tied for first in the CCAA and ranks 15th nationally in assists/game (6.3) ... McCann is 14th in the country in assist/turnover ratio (3.9) and 60th in total assists (50) ... The Tritons rank 16th nationally in scoring defense (64.1) and 30th in three-point field goals/game (9.3) ... MacKenzie McCullough posted a pair of career-highs against UC Merced with 20 points and eight field goals made ... McCullough has collected a career-best nine rebounds twice this season ... Michael Robinson also had several career-highs in the UC Merced game, including points (9) and rebounds (5) ... Zach McMillan's 16 rebounds against UC Merced were a career-best and the most since Casey Ryan pulled down 20 against San Francisco State on Feb. 3, 2011 ... Head coach Eric Olen earned his first career win on Nov. 15 with a 66-56 victory against Daemen College at RIMAC Arena … Olen's inaugural win came in his first career regular season contest ... The Tritons’ 95 points against St. Katherine on Nov. 27 were the most the team had scored in regulation since Nov. 4, 2011, when UCSD poured in 102 against Chestnut Hill ... Duke Doulphus, Kevin Harris, Adam Klie, Aleks Lipovic, Michael Robinson and Darryl Wong have all seen their first career action as a Triton this season.

After traveling almost the entire length of California for two CCAA games at Humboldt State and Cal Poly Pomona, the Tritons returned home to kick off a season-long, six-game homestand, hosting Cal State San Bernardino and UC Merced prior to the holiday break. The Coyotes shot 51% and made 10 three-pointers en route to a 79-68 victory on Dec. 16. Four Tritons had double-digit point totals, including James McCann (13), MacKenzie McCullough (13), Adam Klie (12) and Aleks Lipovic (11). Against UC Merced, the Tritons put up 90-plus points for the second time this season, cruising to a 92-33 victory. McCullough had a career-high 20 points and McCann added 16 as UCSD held the Bobcats to 16% (8-for-50) shooting on the night. The Tritons held a sizable 60-31 advantage in rebounds and scored 33 points off of 23 UC Merced turnovers.

Drew Dyer was named the CCAA Player of the Week on Nov. 25. The 6'6" forward recorded his first double-double of the season in a near victory over league favorite Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 21. The Tritons fell in overtime, 77-73, despite 22 points and a career-high 14 rebounds from the sophomore. The Aurora, Colo., native was 7-for-16 from the floor, including a pair of treys, and capitalized on six-of-seven free throw opportunities. His 22 points and 14 rebounds, eight on the offensive side, were game-highs. It marked the first career conference award for Dyer.

Long-time UCSD assistant coach Eric Olen was named the program's 12th head coach on Oct. 1, 2013. Olen joined the Tritons as a second assistant for the 2004-05 season and was promoted to first assistant the next season. He was on the bench during the 2007-08 campaign when UCSD won its first-ever CCAA Tournament title and earned its first berth in the NCAA Tournament. As a player at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., Olen helped the Badgers to three straight appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, including trips to the NAIA Elite Eight in 2000 and 2001.

Cal State Stanislaus enters Friday's game at 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the CCAA, tied for sixth place. Most recently, the Warriors trounced Pacifica at home, 104-53. Marcus Bell leads the team in scoring (19.6/game) and rebounding (8.5/game) and tops the CCAA in both field goal percentage (.653) and rebounding. CSUS is first in the league in field goal percentage (.515), assists (16.5/game) and steals (9.2/game) and ranks fourth in points (77.2/game).

Cal State Stanislaus leads the all-time series against UCSD, 19-16. The Warriors have won the last six match-ups, with UCSD picking up its last victory in February of 2010. Last season, CSUS won in Turlock (72-57) and at RIMAC Arena (77-67).

Chico State entered the week with a 7-1 overall record and in a three-way tie for third place in the CCAA at 3-1. The Wildcats have won six straight, their only loss coming at Cal State Stanislaus in overtime, 80-78, on Nov. 16. CSUC, which plays at Cal State San Bernardino Friday, jumped into the NABC national poll at No. 21 this week. Rashad Parker leads the team in scoring (15.0/game) and is trailed closely by Sean Park (14.9/game). Jordan Semple is hauling in 8.4 boards a game, which ranks second in the CCAA, and Giordano Estrada leads the league in threes per game (3.1). As a team, the Wildcats are fifth in the CCAA in scoring, averaging 77.0 points/game.

Chico State holds a 17-11 advantage in the series against UC San Diego. The teams split two competitive meetings last season as UCSD won at RIMAC (65-62) and CSUC won at Acker Gymnasium (64-61).
