Carlisle continued her recent tear last week, leading the surging Tritons to a trio of road wins. In victories over Cal State East Bay, Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus, the Agoura Hills, Calif. native averaged 25.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 3.7 steals per game.
Carlisle helped UCSD dispatch Cal State East Bay, 82-44, to begin the week, finishing with 18 points, five boards, nine assists and four steals in just 25 minutes of action. She followed that performance with a huge effort against league-leading Chico State four nights later, tallying a game-high 26 points on 10-of-21 shooting, including 5-of-11 from the three-point line, as the Tritons dealt the Wildcats their first loss in CCAA play. She also finished with seven rebounds and three assists in the 73-53 win.
Carlisle finished the week with an even bigger effort against Cal State Stanislaus on Saturday, putting in 31 points on 8-of-19 shooting to lead all scorers in an 86-80 UCSD triumph. She was 4-of-10 on threes and sank 11-of-13 free throws to record her third 30-point performance of the season. She also racked up six boards, seven assists and a career-high-tying six steals.
For the week, Carlisle shot 49% (24-49) from the field and converted 12-of-27 three-point tries, 44%.
Monday's award marks UCSD's first player of the week honor of 2010-11 and the third of Carlisle's career overall. She won player of the week accolades once as a freshman and once a sophomore.
Winners of four straight and six of their last seven, the Tritons will look to keep rolling when Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills come to town this weekend. UCSD will host CSULA on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. to begin the week.
