WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - UC San Diego women's basketball standout Daisy Feder has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association's Most Valuable Player. Teammates Erin Dautremont and Emily Osga joined Feder as All-CCAA First Team selections. The awards were handed out by the league Tuesday.

It is Feder's second consecutive appearance on the league's first team. The senior guard leads the CCAA in three-point field goals per game (2.7) and free throw percentage (.855) and is third in overall scoring (18.0 points/game). Nationally, Feder ranks 19th in three-pointers per game, 30th in free throw percentage and 34th in scoring. She is tied for the team lead in assists (80). The Santa Monica native has started all 29 of UCSD's games this season, scoring 10 or more points in all but two of those. Twice this year she has netted a career-high 29 points and has led the Tritons in scoring 17 times. Feder collected the 1,000th point of her career in November.

Feder is the second-straight league MVP to come out of UCSD as current assistant coach Chelsea Carlisle earned the honor last season. The Tritons have produced the CCAA MVP in six of the last eight years.

Osga, a three-time All-CCAA First Team selection, leads the Tritons in field goal percentage (.517), three-point field goal percentage (.462), blocks (11), steals (47) and minutes played (33.0/game). She tops the league in field goal percentage and is seventh in scoring (13.0 points/game) and three-pointers per game (1.7). The San Diego native has started all 29 games and established a new career-high with 28 points at Cal State L.A. in February. Osga recorded the 1,000th point of her career in early January.

Dautremont, a junior forward, is making her first appearance on an All-CCAA squad. She leads UCSD in rebounding (6.8/game) and is second in field goal percentage (.470) and third in scoring (10.9 points/game). The West Hills native has totaled five double-doubles this season and set a new career-best with 13 rebounds against Cal State Monterey Bay in February.

Cal Poly Pomona's Cydnie Jones was named the 2012-13 CCAA Freshman of the Year, while Nikki Beckman of Cal State Monterey Bay was tabbed the Newcomer of the Year and Chico State's Brian Fogel was selected as the Coach of the Year.

The second-seeded Tritons host Cal State San Bernardino, the seventh seed, in a CCAA Championship Tournament first round game tonight at 7 p.m. The winner advances to the semifinals, which will be contested at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., on Friday, March 8.
