AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005-06: Has started 11 of the 17 games in which she has played during her first year on the UCSD women's basketball team... Pulled down eight rebounds to go with her six points, three assists, three steals, and one block in an overtime win at Cal State Bakersfield on December 2... had 10 points, six rebounds, and four steals at Cal State Monterey Bay on January 14... followed with another terrific all-around performance with six points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a career-high six blocked shots... accounted for six points, 10 rebounds, two blocks, and tied her career-high of four steals during a win at San Francisco State on January 28... dished out a season-high five assists at home against Cal State L.A. on February 3... set new career-highs of 16 points and 18 rebounds while also blocking five shots against Cal State Bakersfield on February 4...

AT UCSD: Has not played basketball but is a letterwinner on the women’s track and field squad... participates in the heptathlon and in the high jump... holds the school record for women’s heptathlon with 4,380 points that came during the Mt. SAC Heptathlon on April 14, 2005.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Aptos High School in Aptos, Calif... lettered in basketball, volleyball and track while at AHS... played basketball for coach Joey Smith... helped all three teams to league championships... was a two-time league MVP and a first team All-Coast Section honoree in basketball.

PERSONAL: Born January 29, 1984... parents are Tom and Margarett Ann Hinga... has five siblings named Ali, Tommy, Erin, Mary Louise and Charles... is a Psychology major at Roosevelt College... enjoys reading, swimming and playing volleyball at the beach.
