MOVING UP: UC San Diego continues to climb the list of rankings in the NSCAA National Top 25 Poll. This week, the Tritons entered single digits, receiving the No. 9 slot among Division II programs.

ANOTHER TRITON HONOR: The women's soccer team has earned back-to-back Athlete of the Week honors, with this week's going to Cassie Callahan. The sophomore midfielder scored in double overtime to lead UCSD to a 1-0 victory over Cal State San Bernardino on the road Sunday. Callahan's goal came at the 100:49 mark and was assisted by Alexa Enlow. The win upped the Tritons' record to an unblemished 5-0-0 and allowed them to take sole possession of first place in the CCAA South Division. It was the Coronado native's fourth goal of the season, which leads the team and is the fourth-best total among all conference players.

THIS WEEK IN WOMEN'S SOCCER HISTORY: The Tritons have defeated both the Broncos and Gators in every regular season match over the past two seasons, barring a 0-0 draw against San Francisco State on Sept. 26, 2010.

SINCE WE LAST MET CAL POLY POMONA: CPP earned its first conference victory last Friday over Humboldt State, shutting the Lumberjacks out 2-0. The Broncos ended their five-match road trip Sunday, dropping a 5-0 decision to Sonoma State. The Tritons' trip to Kellogg Field will serve as Cal Poly Pomona's home opener and the start to a four-match home stand.

SINCE WE LAST MET SAN FRANCISCO STATE: The Gators are coming of a 2-1 week in which they defeated UC Santa Cruz 1-0 and Humboldt State 3-2 in last-second wins. Their lone loss was a 2-0 defeat at No. 6 Sonoma State this past Friday. SF State is now 2-3 overall and 1-3 in the CCAA.
