Finished the All-Cal Challenge 1,500 in 13th place with a time of 4:06.46 ... Competed in the 1,500 at the Cal-Nevada Championships, where he finished 14th with a time of 4:01.26 ... Took 12th in the 800 at the Soka Peace Invitational (1:58.70) ... Finished the Triton Invitational with a time of 4:06.25 in the 1,500.

A 2010 graduate of St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower ... His cross country teams were Trinity League Champions advancing a streak to 16 straight years, which is the second-longest cross country streak in California state history (2006-09) ... Braves were 2006 CIF Southern Section Division II Champions during his freshman year ... Team was both the CIF Southern Section runner-up and CIF State runner-up in 2009 ... His team finished third in the state for the 2008 season ... Voted All-Trinity League in 2007 and 2008 ... Elected All-CIF Southern Section in 2008 ... Selected to the 2007 and 2008 Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Teams as part of the first team ... Personal records were 1:59.2 for the 800, 3:07 in the 1,200, 4:18.9 in the 1,600 and 9:29.8 in the 3,200.

Majoring in nanoengineering at Muir College ... Most memorable moment occurred in 2010 when he ran a 3:07 to open the distance medley at the Mt. SAC Relays, going on to help his team to a third-place finish with a time of 10:11.47 for a school record and the fifth-best time in the nation ... Favorite athlete is Matt Centrowitz ... Roots for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and New England Patriots ... Hobbies include playing ping-pong, pool and poker among other things ... Listens to Taylor Swift ... Favorite movie is "Disney's The Emperor's New Groove" ... Would eat Roberto's hash brown burritos for the rest of his life if given the opportunity ... His parents, Martin Luther King, Jr. and teammate Kellen Levy are his greatest influences ... Aspires to build and develop neuroprosthetics after graduating from UCSD.
