AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012
Competed in the men's javelin throw for UC San Diego at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Track & Field Championships, where he threw a personal-best distance of 199'1" to place second overall ... Tossed the javelin 192'10" at the Cal State L.A. Last Chance Qualifier, placing fifth overall to end his season ... Won the javelin at the Soka Peace Invitational upon throwing a top distance of 192'10" ... Matched his personal-best mark of 5'10" in the high jump at the 16th Annual Rossi Relays, finishing in a tie for eighth place.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2011 graduate of Aptos High School in Aptos ... Took third in the high jump at the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League (SCCAL) Championships after clearing a personal-best height of 5'10" during his senior year (2011) ... Finished fourth in the triple jump at the same meet, leaping a personal-record distance of 40'11.5" ... Named to All-League basketball team ... SCCAL League champions ... Named "scholar-athlete" ... Averaged 14 points, five rebounds and two blocks per game with the Mariners ... Also played baseball and ran track and field at AHS.

His father played basketball for UC Riverside and qualified for the Olympic Trials held in Atlanta for javelin throw in track and field ... Has three brothers named Nicholas, Nolan and Nemo as well as one older sister named Sunny ... Nicholas competed in the javelin for UCSD ... Is a human development major in Marshall College ... Considers standing on the podium next to his brother Nicholas at the 2012 CCAA Championships as his most memorable track and field moment ... Favorite UCSD moment was competing at the Junior Outdoor National Championships ... Enjoys music ... Cheers for the Tritons ... Jim Thorpe is his favorite athlete of all time ... The "Harry Potter" series are his favorite movies ... "Alien of Unnatural Ability" by BaRD is playing on his iPod ... Names his father as his greatest influence in life ... Aspires to go to medical school after graduation and eventually become an anesthesiologist.
