ABOUT CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS
The Toros enter this weekend with a two game losing streak, as they went 1-3 this past weekend at San Francisco State. CSUDH sits at 7-5 in CCAA play, placing fourth in the conference standings. Statistically speaking, the squad is still seeing success as they are second in runs, with 126, home runs (24), batting average (.317) and lead the league with a .525 slugging percentage.

As a team, the Toros are hitting .317. Adriana Sanchez is the team top hitter with a .481 batting average, the second highest in the conference. She also leads the team in hits with 37, 24 RBI, and a .987 slugging percentage. Sanchez also leads CSUDH and the conference in home runs, with 10. Christina Chavez sits close behind with a .435 batting average, with 30 hits and six doubles. Brittany Brenner also has six doubles, with 18 runs. Jamie Duran leads the team with three stolen bases. Pitcher Stephanie Jimenez is 9-2 with a 1.28 ERA in 14 appearances. Jimenez is No. 4 in the CCAA with 83 strikeouts.

AROUND THE CCAA
The Tritons remain steady in CCAA play after going 3-1 in each of the last two weekends. UCSD is currently tied for first place with Sonoma State as both squads are carrying 11-5 records in league play. The Tritons have shown their quickness in the field as they lead the CCAA in double plays (25) after adding five against Cal State East Bay last weekend. They also have amassed a league-high 235 assists.

HOT HITTER
Junior Caitlin Brown hit three home runs last weekend at Cal State East Bay, bringing her season total to five. The catcher made a jump up the program's career leader board to the number four spot with 16. Jenny Maze (2004-08) owns the program record with 35 career home runs.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Nicole Spangler is posting chart-climbing numbers with eight doubles on the season. She'll need 13 to get on UCSD's single season top-10 list.

HAVE MERCY
The Tritons have already won three conference games in run rule fashion, the first two coming in the Cal State San Bernardino series. UCSD recently added the third in the night cap of last Friday's doubleheader at Cal State East Bat. Last season, UCSD was able to accomplish the feat nine times.

HONOR ROLL
Honors continue to roll in for UCSD as Kayla Hensel earned her second Worth/CCAA Pitcher of the Week award on Monday, March 4, for her performances against Cal State Monterey Bay. The Tritons received their first honors of the season with back-to-back CCAA accolades as Nicole Spangler earned Player of the Week on Feb. 4 for going 7-for-11 at the plate, good for a .636 average, while tallying three doubles, four runs scored and seven runs batted in. She had at least one hit and one RBI in all four games and also drew a pair of walks against Western Oregon. Hensel earned her first conference honor the following week for her performances against Cal State San Bernardino.

SENIOR DAY SET FOR MARCH 30
Triton fans will get to enjoy some well-deserved recognition for three Triton seniors before they play their last regular season home game against San Francisco State on Saturday, March 30. Michelle Escamilla, Dyanna Imoto and Nicole Spangler will be honored in a special Senior Day ceremony prior to first pitch.
