Nora Bodrian joined the UCSD Athletics program in 2007 as the Business Manager. She serves as the principal advisor to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations and the Director of Athletics with regards to all business functions of the Intercollegiate Athletics department. In this capacity, the Athletics Business Manager is responsible for the oversight, planning, and coordination of the budget, audit control, fund accounting, contract administration, purchasing, equipment inventory, financial management, personnel, facilities, information technology, risk management and payroll systems. Bodrian works closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor - Resource Administration, Student Affairs and campus administrative units to identify and implement business process improvements that promote the Athletics program.
Before joining the program, Bodrian developed an acumen for university administration through 20 years experience in administrative, academic and research departments, where responsibilities ranged from resource management, budget forecasting, preparation of research grant proposals, contract and grant administration, human resources, graduate student advising, cash management and purchasing. Bodrian brings extensive experience to her role, and is highly regarded by her UCSD colleagues.
Bodrian is a native of San Diego and graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Urban Studies. She has one daughter, Karina Sainz-Bodrian, who is a 2006 graduate of UC Santa Cruz.
