BRANDON NIXON

Basketball

1985 - Revelle - Computer Engineering

A three-sport letter winner as a prep in Phoenix, AZ, Nixon played on the Triton basketball team from 1982-85, led the squad in scoring his last two seasons and is still among the all-time leaders in both scoring and assists. He earned Academic All-American honor in 1985 and the same year was chosen as UCSD’s Outstanding Male Athlete.

After stints with SAIC and Texas Instruments, Nixon went to Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Completing his work at Stanford in 1992, he worked for Cirrus Logic, building a wireless telecom equipment business. From 1995-2002, as founder and president of Oak Tree Capital and then general partner of Housatonic Partners, a private equity firm, he purchased or invested in nine separate communication services companies.

In June 2002 Nixon took over a holding company and now serves as CEO of Enerdyne Technologies, a company that provides video compression products to the government and military, as well as Boatracs, LLC, a satellite communications business focused on vertical maritime markets.

Nixon, his wife Janine, son, Cameron, and daughter, Corrine, live in Rancho Bernardo
